The Program Coordinator Position:
Candidates seeking both part-time and full-time work will be considered for this position.
The Village Square is seeking a Program Coordinator who’s an organized, dependable professional with a collaborative mindset interested in our mission to bridge the partisan divide throughout the Tallahassee area and beyond. The ideal candidate believes that diversity of viewpoints makes for a richer dialogue and healthier society, works well both independently and as part of a small but mighty team, believes no task is too small to be important, has laser attention to detail, and communicates clearly and consistently both with teammates and our constituents. Prior experience with bookkeeping, basic website maintenance, working with nonprofit boards and donors, and event coordination is preferred. The position comes with unique informal perks such as flexible work hours, the option to work from home, lots of opportunities to connect with community members and leaders, and a light holiday and summer event schedule.
Salary: $35-$45k for a full-time 40-hour per week position, no benefits. Will consider Part Time employment for the right fit.

The Village Square is dedicated to bridging divides between people who don’t look or think alike through discussion and spirited disagreement in a 21st Century revival of the American town hall. Key Priorities and Responsibilities:
• Assist leadership in planning and executing events
• Execute administrative and bookkeeping duties including check processing and website management
• Maintain databases with donor information and communicate regularly with members
• Mandatory attendance at weeknight Village Square events and meetings (estimate about 15 through year)
• Position reports directly to The Village Square Tallahassee Executive Director on matters related to The Village Square in its Tallahassee location and to Founder & President related to The Village Square’s model, brand and national efforts.
• Assist in content creation, planning, and execution
• Assist leadership in any additional tasks as needed
Preferred Professional Requirements and Qualities:
• Superb organizational skills – with a natural internal drive to excel
• Approachable, collaborative and transparent professional style
• Ability to interact professionally with Board members, staff, and program participants of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
• Record of success with non-profit organizations
• Proven strong writing, and communications skills — ability to write compellingly, consistent with unique Village Square voice
• Demonstrated history of effective collaboration and broad community involvement
• Experience with financial management and budgeting
• Has a reliable transportation to events and for other tasks needed on the job
The Administrative Assistant Position:
The Village Square is seeking an Administrative Assistant who’s an organized, dependable professional with a collaborative mindset interested in our mission to bridge the partisan divide throughout the Tallahassee area and beyond.
