Civics Trivia Night

Can you beat a 7th grader at civics?
Date and TimeThursday, October 10, 2024 @ 6:30 pm

We will be throwing back pints (ok maybe just a couple) on Thursday, October 1oth at Amicus Brewing Ventures as we enjoy a very Village Square-esque type of trivia night!

How well DO you know your American history, how our government works, or what it really means to be a citizen? Don’t worry, we won’t be sending home report cards, but there will be prizes and lots of high fives involved. Oh and beer!

Recruit friends to be on a trivia team with you or just show up and join in the fun! And you won’t want to miss the exciting world premier of a Village Square inspired craft beer specially brewed for us! Fun begins at 6:30pm and Trivia starts promptly at 7pm!

Good friends good beer

We love Amicus Brewing

Amicus Brewing Ventures is a story crafted by four families with a love of fellowship, adventure, and beer. Our roots trace back from over a decade of exploring campgrounds, state parks, beaches, mountain retreats, and of course, all those breweries in between.

Meet our MC for the night!

Leon High’s Josh Stewart

Teaching for 22 years – Josh is privileged to say, all at Leon HS. Currently he teaches Honors Govt/Economics, Freshman Leadership Skills, and SGA Leadership Electives. Josh serves on the Florida Association of Student Councils Executive Board and on the board of the Florida Association of Activity Advisors, and currently is the FCA sponsor at Leon HS. Josh also announces soccer games at Leon frequently, and is known for his awesome Dad jokes! Outside of school, Josh’s favorite hobbies center around his kid’s activities (whatever they’re into) and church related things. Fortunate to be married to a wonderful wife of 24 years, Becky who has been a nurse in the Neonatal ICU at TMH for over 20 years.

Our Specialty Brew for the Evening

The Ghost of Ben Franklin

Amicus Brewing Ventures is doing what they do best and brewing up a delicious craft brew with Ben himself in mind. This “harvest ale” (Ben’s apparent favorite) is similar to a traditional amber German ale, but with a hint (only a hint!) of pumpkin. Sheldon at Amicus knows that pumpkin spice can be just as divisive as our politics, so think “subtle gourdy flavor,” not pumpkin spice bomb. The hops used are even called Liberty hops, because who can resist a good theme?
