The God Squad continues its fifth Faith, Food, Friday season with “Income Disparity, Poverty, Race and Our Children,” the first in a series of three consecutive programs that will address the difficult issues that confront us related to poverty, racial disparity and community unrest. The God Squad will be joined by special guest Dr. Latricia Edwards Scriven, Interim Director for the Florida A&M University Wesley Foundation. The program will be held Friday, November 13 from noon to 1 pm at Temple Israel, 2215 Mahan Drive, with lunch available beginning at 11:30. It will be moderated by Rabbi Jack Romberg of Temple Israel. Joining Jack are God Squad regulars Father Tim Holeda of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Pastor Darrick McGhee of Bible Based Church, and Rev. Betsy Ouellette-Zierden of Good Samaritan United Methodist Church.
